DRAGON DREAMER

I actually began this drawing back in September, but, I've been going through allot of perfectionist/hyper-crtiticalness with myself, and I just thought it wasn't good enough at all. So, I just up and discontinued with it.

I found it, the other day, and next thing I knew I was working on it again. So, I've worked on it off and on this week. I got the bulk of it done over the past 2-3 days.

It's actually based on a paining on the cover of a book called: "DREAMS AND WHAT THEY MEAN TO YOU" (Written by Migene Gonzalez-Wippler)

The painting was by Victoria Poyer Lisi. I liked the concept, but I wasn't crazy about her dragon , plus, she made the lady Blond! Bleh! (No ofence to my natural blond friend, but lots of offence to all you blond fakers! )

It's my Spirit Dragon Totem/Daemon. In this drawing he's rather large. But, he's actually very small. He can change his sixe if he wants to, tho'. He's a white and golden dragon.

For some reason, the dragon did come out allot like a Susan Dawe style...

I'm actually considdering doing a color version with highlights on colored Charcoal paper.

By the way.... I changed mine allot from the original. The last thing I wanted was a carbon coppy of Lisi's painting. I changed it so much.
I used basic shading in Graphites. (3H, HB, B, 2B, 4B, 5B) PLEASE, No stupid comments like 'nice shading!" I hate that crap!
