or 馬祖 (Traditional Chinese) [Written above in left upper corned in "Ancient" Chinese Script] Mazhu (or Maju or Mazu) A design piece, based on Chinese art/design styles from the 1970s. Mazhu, often revered as an Ocean goddess, is actually based on a real person in Ancient times. It's said she became a Shenxian. Or the equivalent of a Saint in western terms. Mazhu is the most widely known in South China, and even more among Chinese colony descendant cultures outside of China, throughout the Asian islands. There are still reports of sightings of her out on the sea in a red gown, or saving the lives of people out at sea. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. ~All you need is love
You did a great job on those dragons- their manes look really glossy and the shading's given them an almost ghostly look. Mazhu herself has a powerful pose, as befits a sea godess.
Overall very nice. I'm gonna fav it.
