I've been trying to develop and redesign this character. But, It's a challenge to get what i want, and I'm still figuring out what that is... so it takes quite a bit of time, effort, practice, and eventually, HOPEFULLY, he will manifest and BECOME what he's supposed to be.

So, these are incredibly rough, and i also need to REALLY work on refining, and practicing my sketching skills all over again.

I've been going through old art books, and references.

I really want to have Xingtao to have different hairstyles, and to have them change throughout my story. But, i need to ALSO settle on his face, and his body type... which is still in flux, and I'm unsure, or not settled on that yet. I also want him to go through changes.

I was actually going through old promotional photos of 80s/90s actors like Christian Slater, and Tony Leung Ka Fai, among others. I absolutely LOVE the hair that Christian Slater had in the 80s/90s that was so voluminous, and wild. *sigh*
Tony Leung was also incredibly drop-dead GORGEOUS in the 80s/90s films, whether he was deeply bronze tanned or fair skinned.
I've also been looking at Nicholas Tse, and also various other drawings, and artwork by many other artists trying to study or learn how they expressed various masculine depictions of whatever they felt was a "sexy" male.

Definitely NOT there yet. I assume this will probably take at least the rest of the year to get there.
