Soccer Gryphon Figure 2 of 3 by BlackUniGryphon Soccer Gryphon Figure 2 of 3 by BlackUniGryphon
Full View PLEASE!

*********** @---~---~------- ****************

This was part of the commission I've been working on since July, for a Soccer team in California to be printed on their Bus.

I know allot of folks have been very eager to see this, including my clinet, and myself. Since I took on this poject, i've gotten allot of very sweet comments, from very supportive persons. I thank everyone. And, I'm glad that people can get something out of my posting of the prepoduction work, and the works in progess in my scraps.

There is NO INK INVOLVED. You are looking at Color Erase Pencils, and Graphie Pencils. NOthng more. It's Colored in Adobe Photoshop.

:please: So, please-please-please-please-please PLEASE, stop saying inking comments. PLEASE. I stink at inks, I just use pencils. :please:

I'll be working on the last figure very soon. If you'd like to see this and the other Gryphon figures in the Progressions, thumbnails, and preproduction works, you're more than welcome to brows my "scraps" Gallery, whcih also contains the Mock-ups of what the bus will look look like.

I'd really like to get back into some sketching agin.
But, I also have a portfolio to work on.

I hope everyone enjoys this.

NOTE: Allot of people ask me about how I draw my wings...
I do have a "tutorial" in my DA Gallery. It's more of a thesus, but, I've tried to create it in a way that you can think and visualze it the way I see it.

This picture is truly wonderful. The coloring is just perfect for this gryphon. My favorite part is those talons. I lust really enjoy the coloring there.

Did you pick these colors, or were they given to you? Just curious.

He gave me a desciption of what he wanted. And, he wanted them to be red & white, with tawny lion flanks.

I actually like the red. But, were it up to me, I'd have done all the feathers Red. :D

The paws were his idea. He did some research and we discovered that lions have dark spots on the place where the claws are retracted.

I also mensioned that lions all have spots usually on the legs... but, he didn't seem to go for that...

(Sorry for taking so long to reply. I have been so dead.)

The feathers look good as they are, but I would like ot see them in red as well.

The spots seem interesting too. Too bad he didn;t like the idea. I would have liked to see it.

I tried to make it as comprehensive as I could. So, have a look. ;)
